From Bangkok by train, bus or plane Chiang Mai is easy to reach. The closest Doi Saket is by public taxi 20 minutes away from the city. In January we have the best weather conditions. The days are warm and sunny 25 degrees. At night, the temperatures at 15 degrees and pleasant to sleep and relax. Banbourtong itself is a small community in the countryside on the way from Chiang Mai to Chiang Rai. In the middle of the Thai jungle the place is surrounded by tropical flora and fauna. Located on a small hill from where you have made a stunning view of the surrounding mountain peaks. Within minutes of walking the earth opens and gives hot sulfur springs water free. You can literally feel the energy of Mother Earth on this place.
"Gaitree Retreat beautiful nature, no tourism and hotsprings with healing power. It`s colder out here in the mountains of Chang Mai and at night the forest is playing a complete symphony of crickets, frogs, birds and creatures I have not yet decided what they are..."
